As a media literacy coach, project manager and PR consultant I have been specializing in media economy and literacy. In this regard I offer media literacy trainings
both in English and German. During the trainings I focus on the German media system.
Just as the Center for Media Literacy (CML) in Malibu, California, puts it below, media literacy is not about media warning but about critical media using.
Especially in Germany, people tend to concentrate more on the potential negative impacts of new technologies than on the elaborate positive advancements. I want to encourage people to use new
technologies comprehensively but wisely in order to really understand them. As a consequence people will only then be in a position to really evaluate both negative and positive developments and
lobby against or for them respectively.
